ABOUT THE

MINERVA APARTMENT

 The Minerva Apartment is registered with the city of Rome and is a centrally located, elegant and affordable custom design 80 m2 (861 s.ft.) self-catering vacation home which has been recently renovated and has everything one could need, assisted by an English mother-tongue licensed Tour Manager for 24-hr. concierge service.

The apartment has top-level amenities, with A/C,autonomous heating, wifi, hot tub, security door, and an elevator/lift, is non-smoking(smoking on balconies only), has 2 elegant bedrooms, a cozy tv lounge, a large full bath with a hot tub and a washer, a fully equipped eat-in kitchen with top amenities where you can make your own meals or snacks.There are  2 balconies off the bedrooms to people-watch and enjoy the view out over Rome and the Castelli Romani Hills in the distance, where one may smoke if wished.

 The Minerva Apartment is centrally located within the ancient walls of Rome,near the Porta Maggiore city gate, on the east side of the center in the Esquilino quarter, a short walk to the Colosseum and to the station and is near to all sights by foot or by transport.

The Colosseum archeological area is a brief 10-minute walk straight down Via Manzoni, you can't miss it as it rises up at the end of the street -  the Termini train station is 1.5 km away, also a 10 minute walk down nearby Via Giolitti and we are in a safe, central zone with good shopping,and excellent transport and  services right under the house. 

Located on Via Principe Eugenio (at Via Manzoni) in a well-designed 1936 period building with a renovated facade (2009), marble foyer, vintage details and the original elevator/lift for 3 people (holds up to 300kg), this sunny apartment has southern exposure, with sun all day long and has a sunset view over the rooftops. My husband, a design professor, worked hard from 2002-2010 and beyond to renovate the house, which we are constantly improving,and which is mainained to very high standards of cleanliness and service.

There are special noise-reducing double-glazed St. Gobain windows and doors with adjustable louvered shutters for quiet, with artistic lighting, autonomous heating, A/C, 5-speed ceiling fans, original 1936 details, double brocaded curtains, custom handmade furniture, floor skirting, two-tone wainscotting and antique and designer furniture pieces, there are elegant faux-stone designer tiles in the kitchen and bath and original 1936 "terrazzo" floors with marble inlay throughout the house and original  1936 art deco details.

The refined, recently-renovated interiors feature elegant hand-made woodwork, furniture and art crafted by my designer husband and features top amenities.

You can make your own meals and snacks in the fully -equipped eat-in designer kitchen with brand-new amenities such as an electric oven, 4-ring gas stove, American coffee maker, induction tea kettle, dishwasher, washer, microwave/grill and more, just like at home.

In the bath, you can relax after a long day in the wide Jacuzzi hydro-massage bathtub, there is an extra large monsoon shower-head, 5-speed fan, double sinks,lighted mirror cabinet, 1600 W hairdryer, bathroom scale for weighing bags for flights, 1200 rpm washer, drying rack,iron & board,soap and shampoo, toiletries, linens, first-aid kit and more.

In the cozy tv lounge:A/C, 5-speed ceiling fan, library, flat screen satellite tv, free cordless telephone use for national & local landline calls, for international calls use calling cards or skype, free 24 hr. ADSL wifi connection provided with password.

In the second bedroom, flat screen satellite tv, new stereo, region 2(Europe)-only dvd player,English-language dvd library for kids and adults, a large library with a selection of English-language books for adults, teens and kids (also Spanish, French, Italian, German), kids toys, music library/magazines,guide books and more. 

No pets allowed.

Smoking is allowed on the two balconies but not in the house.

Suitable for children, we have a crib upon request.

Suitable for relatively able-bodied seniors.

Not suitable for disabilities, not wheelchair accessible, unless the person can walk up ten steps and the wheelchair is foldable to get in the elevator and front door.Baby carriages and wheelchairs should be foldable and brought within the apartment.

HOUSE POLICY ON

 MINORS

We ask that parents please

keep minors under parental

supervision, to prevent

damages to the house and to

avoid difficulties with the

neighbors in the

building.

Please remember to close the

inner doors of the elevator/lift

so that others may use it and

not have to walk up.

 GOODWILL POLICY

We do not require a deposit,

however, we ask that you

respect our house as much as

possible, trying to keep the

Minerva as clean and free from

damages as possible. Please

leave the Minerva Apartment

in as good

conditions as it was delivered

to you.

Please inform us if anything in

the house broke  during your

stay or worked badly , please

wash your dishes, leave the

house in order and 

please, we appreciate this very

much, if you can  remove the

sheets and pillowcases and

leave them folded on the beds

and leave the towels folded

on the counter in the

bath. We appreciate it if you do

not remove mascara and

make-up or otherwise stain

the  sheets or the

white towels, as this ruins

them and we have to buy

new ones. Please, use common

sense  and do not use all the

towels during

your stay,as it is a huge job for

us to carry and wash them all

at once, thank you much , we

appreciate it.
